Dashrath Chand was a prominent revolutionary leader who fearlessly fought against the oppressive Rana oligarchy. He was executed alongside Shukraraj Shastri, Dharma Bhakta Mathema, and Gangalal Shrestha on Magh 10, 1997 BS (January 24, 1941).

Legacy

Dashrath Chand’s sacrifice became a rallying point for the democratic movement in Nepal. His statue stands at Shahid Gate in Kathmandu, a permanent reminder of the price of freedom.
